Kitengela Municipality is pleased to announce that our Communication Officer, Nelly Meneto Kerema, and our Public Participation Officer recently underwent specialized training to become certified para-counsellors,through Enchilai Community Based Organization. This initiative underscores the Municipality’s commitment to fostering a more supportive and understanding environment within our community. By equipping key officers with para-counselling skills, we aim to enhance our ability to listen, empathize, and provide initial support to residents facing various challenges.

The newly acquired skills will enable our Communication and Public Participation teams to engage with the public more sensitively, addressing not just administrative inquiries but also providing compassionate preliminary support when needed. This is part of our ongoing effort to build a more responsive and caring local government.
